How we build this directory
Where the information comes from, how we combine it, and where it can be wrong.
Collecting
We read public online doctor directories, hospitals’ own websites, the DGHS Health Facility Registry and OpenStreetMap, and keep only facts: names, qualifications, chambers, addresses, visiting hours and phone numbers. We do not copy anyone’s biographies, photos or reviews; profile text on this site is written by us from those facts.
Matching
The same doctor appears on many sites under different spellings. We combine records using the BMDC registration number when it is listed, the name in English and Bangla spellings, specialty, shared chambers and personal serial numbers. Doctors who share a common name but practise different specialties are kept apart. The directory currently lists 28,450 doctors and 42,486 chambers.
Freshness
Each chamber shows how many sources agree and when it was last confirmed. Doctors change their hours often, so always call the serial number before you travel. BMDC numbers are shown as listed by sources and marked as not yet checked until we verify them with BMDC.
No paid ranking
Nobody pays for a position in these lists. Today, doctors confirmed by more sources appear first. When patient reviews are added, the ranking method will be published on this page before it is used.
When something is wrong
Every listing has a “Report wrong information” form. Doctors and facilities can use it to correct their own details.
